Maker Campus is a place to connect, learn, and make together. Find enriching and interactive events including talks by expert makers, project demos, classes, virtual workshop tours, and more. Let’s grow together!
The maker community is full of good teachers, mentors, and role models. These are the kind of people you might meet at a Maker Faire or at a maker space. Now, online, you can join forces and learn new skills together!
Courses consist of multiple sessions over a period of time. Courses come with an outline, instruction, an opportunity to work on a project, and an element of coaching or mentorship. Courses generally will combine both conceptual understanding and practical hands-on labs.
These programs are usually a single hands-on session, typically organized around specific projects or skills. Classes typically are 45-90 minutes. Workshops range widely in the length of the sessions as well as schedule. At Maker Campus, we are looking for programming for all ages and audiences.
Talks are live presentations, usually under an hour in length with a question and answer portion following the presentation. We are looking for presenters who will inform, inspire, and bring joy. If you know someone or if you would like to present we want to hear from you!
An experience might take you to a maker’s workshop or workplace or it might be a Tesla coil violin lesson or a craft party for you and your friends, it might be an opportunity to see a maker at work on a project and talk to them about what they do. Experiences also make wonderful field trips for schools!
Everyone has something to share, teach, or learn here and a place at the table. Get involved today!
We are looking for makers, makerspaces, and like minded businesses to coach, teach, host, mentor, and share with the community. If you have developed a course, class, or another type of program apply to Maker Campus. Have more questions? Check out our Facilitator FAQ.
